About Caitlin

I'm Caitlin! Certified personal trainer and nutrition of 4 years who helps indivudals who are new to fitness find enjoyment alongside life-long results. I especially enjoy working with adults who have weight loss goals and guding them towards maintaining a consistent exercise routine and building balanced eating habits to maintain their results.

As a gamer, I did not enjoy exercise as a kid/teen and often avoided it when possible. But I was inspired by video games to want to be healthy, and in my early 20's I commited to working with my own personal trainer who helped me learn to love being in the gym and what "healthy eating" really meant. Now, I want to do the same for others who might be confused about starting exercise habits for the first time, frustrated with restrictive diets, and anxious about being in the gym as a beginner.

My online brand "Ability Unlocked" is especially aimed at gamers who are inspired by their favorite fictional characters to improve their health and wellness. But I am excited to work with men and women from all professional backgrounds and hobbies. I have had clients from marketing professionals to Air Force Chaplins, chefs, oncologists, and even elderly clients with limited mobility.

My favorite client story

I had a client named Maria who was making additional dietary changes after significant weight loss. She asks me which would be the better choice, beer or tequila. While emphasizing moderation, we researched nutrition information on her preferred brands of beverage. In the end, Maria chose to only consume Tequila (on occasion). This reduction in beer intake, boosted her weight loss results even further while allowing her to enjoy alcohol once in a while.

My favorite exercise

Squats are my favorite exercise because there are many varieties that can target all sections of your thighs and glutes, and it can be modified for any skill level or physical ability.

My training philosophy

Fitness is about more than just physical strength—it’s about developing mental and emotional resilience to help you thrive in all areas of life. I believe in a holistic approach that goes beyond just weight loss or appearance. While strength and fitness are important, I focus on creating sustainable habits, improving mental clarity, and celebrating progress beyond the scale.

Every client is different, so I take the time to build a plan that fits your specific needs, whether you're working on functional strength, improving movement patterns, or mastering a specific fitness goal. My programs are designed to be flexible, progressive, and rooted in consistency, so you see real, lasting results without burnout or extreme dieting.

I also understand that progress looks different for everyone, which is why I emphasize tracking non-scale victories like increased energy, better mobility, and confidence—because every step forward counts.

My training experience

I have trained in a national chain gym for 4 years, working with adults between 25 and 85 with goals such as weight loss, muscle building and functional, daily movement.

I have worked with seniors in weight loss, weight management, and mobility improvement based on their current health and range of motion.

I also practice and coach parkour for kids and adults, which influences workouts and programs for bodyweight exercises and unique movement patterns, even for clients who are not interested in parkour as a discipline.

Caitlin is a fantastic trainer. She sets reasonable goals for weight loss and muscle gain. She even provided me with a nutritional guide to help meet my goals. She's personable and nice but still pushes me to do better every day! She is diligent about tracking how much weight I use on each exercise to make sure that I'm making meaningful progress.

I absolutely love Caitlin, she goes out of her way to make sure she’s meeting your needs. Even on days when we can’t meet she’ll set up work outs I can do on my own.I highly recommend Caitlin. Thank you Caitlin.

I worked with Caitlin for a full year, training three days a week, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Each week, we focused on upper body one day, lower body another, and finished with a dedicated stretching session — a well-rounded routine that really worked for me. Caitlin was always kind, encouraging, and extremely professional. She showed up to every session organized and ready, with a clear plan tailored to my goals and abilities. Her workouts were thoughtfully structured, and I appreciated how she struck a balance between pushing me and making sure I felt comfortable and supported. If you're looking for a trainer who’s knowledgeable, reliable, and easy to work with, I highly recommend Caitlin.
