About Darlene
The initial consultation, in person or over the telephone, gives us the opportunity to get to know one another and discuss your fitness goals. It also gives me the chance to explain my training style and what I have to offer. The next step is to schedule your initial workout, a one-hour, complimentary session with no-obligation. During this session, I will perform an initial health assessment, check for muscle imbalances and postural deviations, measure your body fat percentage, take circumference measurements and design a full workout to give you the opportunity to see if we work well together. My approach to fitness is both unique and compelling. I use a three dimensional approach which includes the mind, body, and spirit. This approach has been extremely functional and effective in helping clients achieve their individual fitness goals.
I'm one of a handful of trainers in the state of Texas who are certified to train cancer clients. I train and teach my clients using form and function without injury. Unlike some trainers who don't look at function. I take a step farther by improving all the aspects of physical health, balance, core strength, flexibility, cardiovascular and nutrition
My favorite client story
I have many success stories to just pick one. In short a few stories are when my clients who had a stroke got to walk his daughter down the isle for her wedding...that was his goal. When another one of my clients lost over 100 pounds and was so happy. She was able to finally get on the floor and play with her kids. .Other success stories are of many of my cancer clients who survied their cancer treatments and are healthy to this day.
My favorite exercise
The best exercise anyone can do for themselves is stretch. It will keep them pain free. I stretch everyone of my clients at the end of our sessions.

Darlene has helped me with my legs. I was having a hard walking because I had a drop foot and I was very weak. Darlene gave me hope and was very kind to me. I highly recommend Darlene.
Darlene, is wonderful, she is caring, she listens to me and she knows what I just cannot do. I would recommend her for sure. She is always there when I need her. Darlene makes working out fun!
After breast cancer surgery that included underarm lymph node removal, Darlene helped me get and obtain full mobility of my arm. I continued to work out with her afterwards and instead of dreading going to the gym I look forward to it. She is professional, informed and caring.
Darlene is a great personal trainer. She has varied workouts that push you to achieve your goals. She will help with food choices always with a great attitude.
