About Philip
Hi there! My name is Phil and I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer working out of DMV Iron gym, the DMV area and online focusing on holistic wellness, strength training, and muscle building. I have a 7 year background in group fitness and functional training in the military . 3 year background as a body builder, making my way up to a national competitor. My main goal is to help people form new life habits that will lead to sustainable health improvements through education, application, and self-reflection. Wanting to improve your physical and mental health is mostly effected by: What you eat, how often you exercise, how you exercise, how you deal with stress, what your barriers are, and even time management. I can help with all of those. Making a change all starts with you but I can give you all the tools and the motivation you need to make those changes. My number one goal is to help educate people on how to take better care of themselves, weather you hire me for 3 months or 3 years I will first give you the tools to help yourself and then use those tools to motivate you to continue to help yourself

I’ve had 2 training sessions with Phil and I have to say he is great. He is an expert in the field and knows what exercises hit what body part and how to preform them well. Training sessions fly by with Phil training you. 10/10 would recommend!
Phil is an excellent trainer! He put together a structured plan for me to follow and every time we meet, he not only explains and demonstrate the exercises, but the mechanics. I am impressed because as he watches me do the exercises, he can quickly pick up on small things I need to correct with my form and then explains the why. Also, if I struggle with certain exercises, he is able to modify them quickly for me. I am learning and seeing results, what better combination is that!? Thank you Phil for being an awesome trainer. :)
