About Karin

Hello, my name is Karin Modessa and I live in Alexandria, VA. I hold a diploma in Fitness and Nutrition from the National Personal Training Institute, certification in NASM and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Spanish from the University of Arizona. I am passionate about pushing others to become the best version of themselves. My high attention to detail and goal setting brings continued success for my clients. I am a huge believer that the secret to success in any area of life (especially health and fitness) is in a consistent routine and the habits you perform every day. My mission is to increase the healthspan of as many people possible. In my free time, I enjoy weightlifting, reading, practicing gymnastics, playing tennis and swimming. I enjoy working with clients who are excited to make a positive change in their life and are ready to commit to their health and fitness! You can count on me to be there for you every step of the way and help you consistently progress and crush your goals!! My personal training service includes: -Monthly measurements on an advanced scale, tape measurements -Detailed tracking of your strength progression -Customized fitness program -Monthly Goal setting -Workout plans for when you travel -Health and Nutrition coaching - guidance and resources to help you make changes in your lifestyle, behaviors, and diet. -Regular communication outside of training sessions to check in on you and hold you accountable to staying on track -Plenty of high fives and smiles!!

My training experience

I have 4.5 years of training experience working with clients from ages 18 years old to 90 years old. I have trained in all kinds of settings from in-home to in-gym to outside and give fun and challenging workouts that push people's limits! I also coach people on changing the way they eat and educate them on how to transition off of processed foods. I have 2 years of experience as a virtual health coach where I helped people change their habits and implement healthy ones so they can sustain a healthy lifestyle for the rest of their lives.
