My philosophy: "If you don't use it, you lose it. I focus on the aging process and how to prevent health issues that occur over time." Coaching others in making fitness/nutrition a part of their lifestyle is my #1 goal! I became a trainer to bring out the potential in everyone around me, we all deserve the best! My specialties include: Strength & Conditioning, Russian Hardstyle Kettlebells, and Exercise Nutriton. Nothing fuels my passion more than watching others grow along side of me. Pre pandemic, I enjoyed teaching a variety of group classes, and now I'm more focused on individual overall needs with custom training and nutrtional gudiance. I have many to share! I love transforming clients into healthy relationships with food and training! Learning how to create a lifestyle that fits your personal needs is the most important "package of skills" anyone can practice.
The biggest transformation story: My current mid-aged female client has dramatically changed her lifestyle for the past 3+ years. She had major health scares, and didn't have much of a choice but to focus on her health. She came to me after losing almost 100lbs on her own, and knew that strength training was the only answer to get past her plateau. After 2 years of training with me and learning proper form: she was progressing with strength and skills, that continued her journey and she lost almost another 100lbs! She continues her new lifestyle that is sustainable and enjoyable. Her body changed so much, she decided to go through a full body skin removal procedure. When your body is fit, it makes the recovery process a bit faster in some ways. This woman is a true inspiration and proof that you can change your life completely, no matter how hard it feels!

My training philosophy
Aging! Every human is aging and there's not stopping that. It's never too late or too early to start your journey. Your bones, muscle, and other tissue start to slowly deteriorate. The only way to keep them healthy and strong is RESISTANT TRAINING and proper NUTRITION. That is the magic and secret to:
"looking leaner and smaller"

Sonya is incredibly kind and reassuring--I came to this gym after rehabbing some bad injuries and I feel like she understands my injuries better than any of the other trainers.
