About Ari

Ari Sofer is a licensed physical therapist assistant and personal trainer with over 20 years of experience certified by the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and by NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) as a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) and Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES). Ari is also a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and is certified as a Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery Therapist (PWR). After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Adelphi University with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, he began personal training in 1998 at Equinox Fitness Club in New York City. For the past year he has been working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in an outpatient sports physical therapy orthopedic facility in Los Angeles California

Ari's undergraduate course of study was pre-physical therapy. Upon graduation, he decided to become a personal trainer and had his own private personal training business as well as worked in several fitness clubs. His knowledge base includes: post-rehabilitation, biomechanics, pre- and post-natal fitness, functional movement, stability, endurance, core strength, flexibility, muscular strength, aquatic therapy and training, corrective exercise and sport-specific training.
Ari is always researching, creating and improving upon cutting edge training techniques to help his clients. His creative and energetic approach to personal training and his innate desire to help and educate people makes his sessions fun, safe and effective, challenging and at the same time, improves your health and physical appearance.
