My name is Karlynn A. Only-Sydnor and I am a mother of 3 awesome kids that motivate me everyday to be the best version of myself. As a former athlete it was hard for me to take on the new role of "Mom". I was in such a hurry to get back to my past athletic self that I became depressed when it wasn't happening immediately. I had to step back and look at my new role as a mom and really redefine who I was so that I could get back to being me. I want to take my experience and use it to train other moms or moms to be so that they can be the best mom and version of themselves possible. I am from Sacramento, CA. I have been training for over 10 years, specializing in athletic performance training and pre/postnatal health and fitness. I have always wanted to help women and young girls improve their lives both mentally and physically through fitness; it is my passion. When working with my clients I start of with an initial assessment of their body movement and skills. On the second session is when I begin addressing areas of weakness. The workouts I take them through start out basic and progress and I see improvement. After four weeks I do another assessment to see if we have improved those areas of weakness and determine whether or not I can intensify the workouts. Not only are we working on fitness we also work on improving healthy eating habits. The clients I work with are women and volleyball players. As a former volleyball player I enjoy taking my knowledge and sharing it with the upcoming youth. In the last 5 years I have been also working with women fitness clients, including those who are pre/postnatal. Last year I helped improve the life of a 50 year old post hysterectomy client. Her main goal was to not have to take the medications prescribed to her by her physician. She wanted to control her weight and mental health through diet and exercise. Since the first day working with her she has lost about 60lbs and does not need prescription medication. I can definitely see a change in her mental health as well; she's glowing. From a personal stand point I find it hard to locate trainers who know specifically what women need to be successful in their health and fitness journeys. I am that trainer that can do that for you. ?
