About JD

Hey, I’m JD! I'm 32 years old, a Cancer, a lover of anyting that involves moving my body, and more importantly, I'm an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach. 

  

My fitness journey started young, but I struggled to find my place. I was the skinny kid who wanted muscle but felt intimidated by the gym—so much so that I’d hide in the bathroom on lifting days. I worked as a dancer/go-go boy/stripper to put myself through college, putting my body on display every night. That experience pushed me to get my first gym membership, but gym anxiety kept me working out at odd hours to avoid crowds.

 

Over time, I did the research, put in the work, and built both strength and confidence. As someone who battled (and still does have to constantly put in the work daily) body dysmorphia and self image issues, I know more than anyone how it feels to be unhappy with what you see in the mirror. Fitness transformed my life—not just physically, but mentally—and now I’m here to help you do the same.

  


I specialize in training women and gay men who want to build strength, confidence, and a body they love. I know what it’s like to feel intimidated by the gym, and my goal is to make sure you feel safe, supported, and empowered every step of the way. I have over 6 years of experience in both 1-on-1 personal training as well as group fitness classes of up to 25 members across multiple modalities. From busy CEO's to even busier single moms, I have trained them all and strive to create an inclusive and FUN environment that makes you a little more excited about taking those steps towards your goals.

My training experience

I’m an NASM Certified Personal Trainer + Nutrition Coach who’s CPR/AED certified. I am also EMS certified and have over two years of experience with ElectroMuscleStimulation! If you don’t know what that is, I can’t wait to show you!

I have over 6 years of experience coaching clients both 1-on-1 (ranging from expecting mothers, couples, those with illnesses/injuries, + a couple C-Suite executives with a need for privacy and discretion) as well as group fitness classes of up to 25 people across multiple modalities.

I’ve recomped my body from scratch multiple times and have extensive knowledge in natural transformations as well as supplements, peptides, anabolics, and body scans.

I have suffered from severe body image issues throughout my life and strive to make my clients feel safe, comfortable, and confident both in the gym as well as their life outside the gym.
