About Melissa

I'm an experienced personal trainer, 200-hour certified yoga instructor, nutritionist, and a life coach to support those at the beginning of their journeys. Areas of expertise: Weight loss, depression reduction, addiction recovery, mental clarity, overall muscle toning, cardio endurance and mobility/flexibility.

About me:  I lost 80 lbs in 6 months in 2015. I was overweight, depressed, a heavy drinker, and spiritually disconnected. Flash forward to now: I can relate to all of those problems and steer you in the right direction.  Health.  Connectivity.  Flexibility.  Strength.  Breath.  Stillness.  Movement.  Nutrition.

My favorite client story

A beautiful girl I trained for 6-8 months. Came to me without any exercise background. Didn't understand where her body was in space at all and depressed. Now she's super fit, very motivated, in an extremely inspiring spiritual place, and still going strong.

My favorite exercise

Headstand pose in yoga. It's achievable. You stack your bones. Know where your hips are. See the world from upside down. Hold it. Let the blood circulate.

My training philosophy

Keep coming back. Keep the goal in your mind. You'll get there. There will absolutely be bumps and bruises, mental setbacks. But work with a buddy (your trainer) and you'll get it.

My training experience

I've trained extensively with trainers and training others for 2 years. My own journey from a state of horrendous health to being in the best shape of my life & happy is my best experience.
