I've been lifting weights for almost 40 years. It's my passion and I love helping women of all ages learn how to lift weights properly for optimum results. I work with all kinds of injuries and medical conditions, often helping improve them. The goal for me is to help you how weight lifting and mobility work will benefit you as you age!
My favorite client story
I currently have a client who came to me about a year and a half ago because she had seen the transformation of her friend who trains with me. She had never lifted weights - just rode her bike a lot. She trains with me three times a week and listens to my guidance about nutrition and trusting the process. She puts in the work and has changed her body. She came in one day and gave me a big hug and kiss and said, "My husband said my butt looks perkier! He's never said that before! I love you!"
Another client who is 70 and has only been training with me for six weeks says that her kids have noticed that she moves around better and is more confident in how she does things (getting on a ladder, lifting things). She said, "I know that doesn't seem like much to you, but it's a big deal to me." These are the things that make me feel like I'm making a difference.

I started personal training in 2009 and have been at it full time ever since. I started in a big gym and have been an independent trainer since 2016, training mostly women at my home gym.

I decided I wanted to get back in a gym and start lifting again but I had no idea where to start. I can’t say enough great things about Lisa. I am 64 years old and have never been disciplined with a workout plan. That has completely changed since I began training this past February with Lisa. After searching for trainers I found Lisa online, she happen to know another trainer I did boot camp with at the gym. I contacted her and she responded promptly, offered me a free trail class, and then discussed my options. She never pushed or rushed me into making a decision. I started doing the 3 months, then recently signed up for 6 months. Workouts are always new, pushing me to my limit, encouraging, focused on proper form, and I definitely get a great 45 minute workout. The atmopshere is welcoming and friendly! I am almost 6 years post stroke and still have deficits on my right side. Lisa is patient with me and assist in my workout when needed. She is the perfect amount of patience and encourager. Just when you think you can’t go anymore I hear her saying “Come on, 5 more……4 more…. 3 more” I would highly recommend her to anyone. This has been my first time using a personal training service and I’m so happy that Lisa and Mackenzie were my first, they’ve definitely raised the bar! I am 57 years old and have been working out with Lisa off and on for the past 4 years. This past March, I decided to step it up and work out with her 5-6 days per week. It was the best decision I have ever made. She continues to push me daily but is keenly aware of my bad knees and designs workouts around them. Besides losing over 25 pounds and dropping 2 sizes, I feel better about my body than I have since before I had kids. I not only now have my 20-year-old son, his girlfriend and her mom training with Lisa, I have also encouraged my 75-year-old mom to start training. She had not worked out a day in her life and was extremely scared that she was too weak and that she could not do it. Once we finally convinced her, she loves it and especially loves Lisa. Training with Lisa is awesome. I started with her around 3 months postpartum, having gained over 40lbs during pregnancy. I'd lost some but was still about 25 pounds over where I wanted to be. In less than 2 months of working out with Lisa, I'd lost over 5lbs and (more importantly) 4 inches on my waistline. Since then, my progress has returned to a more normal pace, but I still continue to lose weight and inches at a steady clip, and I look incredibly toned. The workouts are different every day. Man, are they tough! But you'll never get bored, and you'll see results if you stick with it. She's also great at adjusting to injuries--many of her clients are older, or have wrist or knee injuries, and she customizes it to keep everyone safe.

I have been going to Lisa for 5 years! It’s been the best decision I made for my fitness goals! I was diagnosed with a rare lung disease in my early 40’s 7 years ago and I decided I had to do something about my health that I can control. I started walking everyday about 30 minutes and eventually worked up to an hour. I lost about 30 pounds but I decided I needed to start weight training. I heard it increases the weight loss and it was good for your bones. That’s when I met Lisa! I was doing lat pull downs and she politely came over to me and said “I am a trainer and I would like to show you the correct way to do lat pull downs so you don’t injure yourself.” I immediately said “Can you be my trainer?” And the rest is history! I am down 60 pounds and feel like I am in my 20’s! My lung disease is under control and I truly believe it’s from staying with my workout journey!
