You want your body to indicate wellness inside and out. It will be a vehicle of energy, confidence, and joy every day.
I realize that it takes more than just technical knowledge to build a lifestyle of vitality. It's an emotional and psychological game as well.
Newbies/beginners are my favorite to work with and are my specialty!

My favorite client story
Client with with back pain for years (after a car wreck) without being able to figure out how to work out or be pain free. She enjoys slamming medicine balls down after powerfully scooping them up. A great stress relief from her busy work day. We ignited her love for body-weight and gymnastics-like training. She is addicted and is likely a life-long exerciser never to take for granted the ability to move her body confidently ever again.
My favorite exercise
Feet are the foundation. Strong feet feel amazinggg.
My favorite quote
"You can have everything in life you want if only you will help enough people get what they want." -Zig Ziglar
My training philosophy
Sustainability! Improper exercise can do harm to joints and tissues; proper choices must be made if I want my clients to be working out past their 80's. I help clients explore what unique approach they have toward movement and help them find something they can sustain once we separate.
My training experience
4 years experience. NASM CPT. Human Movement Specialist cert. Competitive background in cross country running and wrestling for 6 years. I perform part time in partner acrobatics. Current interests and goals are varied from flexibility, acrobatics, and gymnastics skills.

Coach Matt is fun, passionate, and knowledgeable. He has a trained eye for the human body and how to improve movement, increase flexibility, and relieve pain. Training with Coach Matt is always a fun time because of his attitude. I highly recommend spending your time with him, you won't regret it.
I've known and trained with Matt for many years and have the utmost respect for his knowledge and ethics. He has a zest for including fun and novelty in every workout and is dedicated to making lifelong changes in his clients life.
Matt is an exceptional trainer who is well rounded and full of knowledge about the variety of muscle groups. I've been working with him for about a month and a half, I've noticed a significant difference in my posture and strength. I like the fact that he emphasizes on form before doing anything strenuous. I enjoy working with him, he is full of energy and fun to work with.
When I first sought out a trainer, I was in a lot of pain from a car accident, and afraid that I would never be able to get back in shape. I was depressed, and scared to even bend over. After only 2 months or working with Matt, I am able to move more now than I have been able to in over 2 years! He is thoroughly knowledgeable, easy to work with, and understands the body. If you are looking for someone who is compassionate and want a trainer who will work with your injuries and put you on a progressive path to success, Matt is your guy!
Matt has gone above and beyond what I wanted to get out of personal training, and I am very appreciative of the time that I do not see but he has to be spending before hand to review my goals and what I want to work on and tie that into what he knows will get the best result. I was stiff as a board before I started training with Matt, and within two sessions felt much looser and more mobile, and within 4 sessions have no more pain in my back or shoulders that I had been dealing with for six to eight months. Matt does walk the walk in being a personal trainer, so if you're reading this comment, sign up with him, its a great investment into your health.
Matt is the best way to change one's mindset toward exercise!! With genuine interest in my intrinsic motivations for achieving healthy change, Matt went above and beyond other trainers I've worked with to transform my often punitive approach to working out and helped me create a healthy, sustainable attitude. Matt carried me through a tough transition when working out and juggling other facets of life just felt like too much. I can honestly say that Matt's approach, which goes beyond purely physical milestones, is a game-changer for the fitness industry. Not to mention the invaluable information he has related to healthy posture and movement. I loved working with him and recommend him to anyone who actually wants to enjoy their fit life!
I spent a session with Matt and that's all I needed to know this trainer is legit. He cares about your goals, takes into consideration your body, and projects you forward with specific coaching. He's knowledgeable and his body mechanics exemplify his years of training he's endured to understand fitness.
I met Matt when I first joined the acro community and he was the first person to successfully base me. He made working out fun and exciting because he believed in me. Never did I think I’d ever do any of the tricks he was calmly talking me through. That’s how he is as a trainer. He’s very thorough and professional. He assessed my current body, workout routine, eating habits, and favorite types of activities. Each session was unique and he modifies different workouts as he sees your body develops and constantly checks your posture and foot position. Then he does the impossible: he found fun things to do so you don’t realize you’re working out.
I am still working thru the idea of working out but Matt has been patient with me. Results are starting to show themselves and we are both encouraged!
