VerifiedAbout Jennifer
I have been a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2008. I spent my first couple years training at a corporate gym and running a modest private training business in San Diego, CA. Over the years, I have always maintained my certification and continued to train clients in whatever city I lived in. I have worked in big gyms and small studios. I also design programs, offer private basketball lessons to athletes of all ages, coach triathletes, and review food intake. I have always loved staying active and was a three sport athlete in college - soccer, basketball, and track and field. My Master's degree is in health psychology (Northern Arizona University, Class of 2007). I am a cyclist and am Functional Movement Screening Level 1 certified. I specialize in helping people make manageable lifestyle changes to maintain a healthy weight. I also have experience coaching high school girls' basketball, and I can help athletes gain a competitive edge. I love helping people of all shapes and sizes reach their fitness goals! My goal is to help you make realistic fitness changes that will last a lifetime!
My training philosophy
I believe that the only change that lasts are changes that can be fit into a client’s lifestyle. It is better to make smaller changes that lead to long term success! I also want clients to gain tools that will help them eventually design their own workouts and stick to a long-term exercise plan independently.
My training experience
I have trained for 13 years, and I am passionate about helping everyone from weekend warriors as well as elite athletes reach their full potential.
