I was dieting and wanting to lose weight for over 7 years. What a waste of my energy! I was depressed, went through eating disorders. I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was 6 years old. Growing up I didn’t take care of myself and as I was getting older I was on the verge of losing my eye sight and having neuropathy due to constant higher blood sugars because of my lack of exercise and my unhealthy obsession with food. One day, I just said, “You know what? I have had enough of feeling this way!” I was disgusting with what I was doing to my body. So I took matters into my own hands showed up at the gym when I could, and it took me 4 years to get to where I am now. This is why I want to help others who are stuck in the same position and plateau. We don’t need to subscribe to diet culture and kill ourselves trying to achieve a body type that’s trending. Daily we are comparing our bodies to someone we see on social media or in the magazines. Let me tell you something. It is OKAY to embrace our natural body shape, it’s okay to love and accept our current bodies! Any type of exercising and/or training has so many benefits. After 7 years of wanting to be smaller, skinny and hating myself for having fat on my body, I am now embracing my current body and NOT wishing I had a different one. I don’t look up to anyone’s body anymore because I came to the realization that we are all different and unique. I used to do that, I was wishing I looked like someone else, I didn’t want the body I had, I was ashamed of being bigger. I was hiding and covering up my body. I felt like this life I was living wasn’t mine to live. What a really messed up place to be. That’s why I’m making it my goal to talk about accepting yourself, feeling confidence, and throwing away restrictive diets! I want to inspire you to exercise/train and eat without restrictions, push yourself to feel like a WARRIOR, and you will be able to EVOLVE, live STRONG and feel amazing in your body NOW! YOU CAN DO THIS JUST LIKE I DID. :) I work with women, and would love to train youth and seniors as well. Strength training is my best skill!
