About Jenny

Jenny Skoog is a personal trainer who specializes in training teens and women from bride-to-baby. She is a birth coach, childbirth educator, master trainer in pre-and-postnatal fitness, corrective exercise and performance enhancement specialist. In other words, she coaches women through the most important moments of their lives and is a steadfast partner during labor and delivery. Jenny’s passion for cooking also led her to become a nutritionist.

Skoog is the youngest of nine and was raised on a small farm in rural Minnesota. Like many women in their mid-twenties, she moved to New York City in search of adventure. After a few fattening and unsatisfying years in the corporate world, she chased a dream, deciding to turn her favorite hobby into a career. She accepted an offer at one of New York’s top gyms, where she honed her skills before launching her own fitness and health business, Skoogfit, a way of life for women seeking help with all aspects of their health picture.

Jenny’s husband, Stanley, runs his own boutique fitness brand specializing in high-profile and celebrity clients. Together, they starred in Pushing It, a nationally-aired reality show based on Jenny’s career and their life together on NBC’s COZI TV. In connection with the show, Jenny was featured on New York Live, TaxiTV and NBC morning shows across the nation. She was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2014 for her starring role.

Her own fitness regimen includes Muay-Thai kickboxing, strength training, biking and running in New York’s Central Park. She lives in Harlem with her husband, Stanley, and their dog, Annie.

With Jen at the helm, the birth day for our beautiful little girl was one I never want to forget-it was one of the most incredible days of my life. I felt an amazing sense of achievement and very proud of my brave and strong little girl, of myself and my calm and supportive husband who was by my side. And Jen was instrumental in “maintaining the peace” on the day, preparing me for it physically and mentally during my entire pregnancy.
