Mitchel’s training style/philosophy in a word: connected.
As a 12-year veteran of the fitness and wellness industry/world, Mitchel understands that the only way for people to create a permanent change is for them to feel that we are connecting it to their personal journey somehow. His goal has always been to create a safe and supportive environment for his clients to gain confidence, experiment with their athleticism and define the choices that will ultimately shape their future.
Mitchel cut his teeth in the early 2000’s working at various gyms and serving a large number of young professionals working at finance and law firms. Through that experience he quickly learned that the greatest challenges facing these kinds of individuals were a lack of time and being in an environment that was not conducive to healthy, mindful living. This prompted Mitchel to adopt a training style that focused on efficient, technique-driven routines that also gave people tools for creating a healthier life outside of the gym for themselves.
Over the next decade, he branched out to work with women pre and post natal, as well as competitive athletes looking to improve their sport skill. He followed up his education in Exercise Science with a Bachelors of Nutrition Science and ran that knowledge base through the filter of his discovery of a naturopathic lifestyle. He explored a variety of nutritional philosophies—like veganism, raw food dieting and paleo—and adopted a belief in “eating for healing”. The result: Mitchel’s clients benefited from his knowledge as he was able to help them find natural solutions to common problems like acid reflux, IBS and insomnia.
At his core, Mitchel is a sports nerd, so he is always aware of the latest training techniques and protocols and is in constant pursuit of anything that might make a better athlete. He also recognizes that he first became a gym-goer to pursue building a more dynamic physique, so he stays on the cutting edge of the most effective weight loss, fat loss and muscle development techniques.
Mitchel helps his clients by connecting with them and making their needs and wants as important to him as they are to them. Over the years, he has repeatedly observed one common occurrence with all of his disciples: they all become students of fitness and wellness and their workouts and dietary habits become part of their daily meditation—a practice that they lean on time and time again to keep their vision for themselves always in focus and never too far out of reach.

Mitch has been my trainer for 5 years now. His dedication to his profession and his clients is what makes him a standout personal trainer. He is part personal trainer, part nutritionist and part therapist. He is always there to support my fitness goals with true care and concern for my well being. That said I always get a great workout/butt kicking. My time with him is well spent and l leave our sessions with a sense of empowerment and accomplishment.
I've trained with Mitchel for three years and earlier this year I stepped up my game in preparation for my wedding in October. For four months, we met twice a week and focused on the areas I wanted to hone in on based on the style of my dress. I also found our sessions to be an effective way to stay on track with my diet and exercise regime. I was so happy with the results. I've since gone back to our usual weekly sessions and I find it an excellent way to keep a check on my fitness and health.
Mitchel isn't just a coach; he's a partner who is equally invested in your success (if not more at times!). He comes to every session with infectious energy and creativity and is extremely knowledgeable in numerous aspects of wellness. Working with Mitchel has left a lasting mark and made fitness a permanent and ever-present part of my life. Words simply can't do justice to his abilities.
