About Brett

Hello! My name is Brett, and I've been a certified personal trainer for 3 years now. I first got into the fitness community because I was extremely obese weighing in at 300 pounds. My life had very little purpose. I was working an office job, broken up with my girlfriend at the time, living with my parents, and eating fast food/drinking just about every night. It wasn't until I went to the Dr for a check up in 2019 that I realized everything had to change. I started off small by making some changes to my diet and exercising twice a week. I lost about 20 pounds in that time, got back with my girlfriend and we moved in together; but COVID happened and I felt like all the work I put in went away. We were back to drinking and eating poorly because there wasn't much else to do. In June of 2020 we both joined an online weight loss challenge and that was when I fell in love with fitness. I started hosting zooms for my friends of me streaming my Peloton workouts so we could do them together. In the summer of 2020 I re-lost those 20 pounds that I fought so hard for plus an additional 10 pounds. I felt incredible, so in December of 2020 I decided to register to get my certification in Personal Training because I wanted others who were in my shoes to feel the same way. Since I made that switch in June of 2020 I have lost 100 pounds bringing me down to 200, and exercise is something that I look forward to every day. My current training styles are centered around weight training with a small emphasis put on cardio. My goal for you or anyone else that chooses me as your trainer is to help you to fall in love with fitness and exercise the way that I did. My goal is to also help you have a healthy relationship with your food. I don't obsess over "good" or "bad" foods. I feel like all foods have a place in your diet. My typical clients are people who are either looking for a complete overhaul or even the ones who are looking to lose about 10-15 pounds, as well as clients that want to add some weight by gaining muscle. If that's you, I would love to help in any way that I can.
