About Jill
I accidentally discovered my love for fitness over 20 years ago during my umpteenth diet. When the diet failed (as diets do!), I realized that I got a lot more out of exercise than burning calories. Once the mental health benefits and increased energy became obvious, I never looked back. I am passionate about supporting women (and men) who want to move their bodies in ways that feel good, are fun, and support their overall health. I have a wide array of experience ranging from spin instructor, running coach, triathlon coach, walking group leader, pilates instructor, and strength coach. I love a lot of different kinds of exercise, and for my own movement, I especially love resistance/weight training and walking my dogs.
Now, in mid-life, I have turned my sights on diet culture. I help women heal their body image and learn to trust themselves with food so that they can end destructive cycles of emotional eating and learn to shift their focus from controlling food in an effort to be healthy (spoiler alert: health is NOT as directly related to the number on the scale as you've been led to believe!), and instead focus on gaining strength, mobility, and confidence to enjoy life to the fullest.
