About Moises

Hello, I'm Moises and I have been training clients for over 8 years now. I have a degree in Kinesiology, am certified through NASM as a personal training, a certified nutrition coach, and am a certified boxing instructor. I specialize in strength and conditioning training, with the barbell being the main piece of equipment used. I enjoy teaching people how to squat, bench press, press, and deadlift. I know the importance of strength for humans, it is what makes us go! I enjoy training people of all ages and fitness experience. Strength is important for all of our daily activities and training with barbells is not only great for improving body composition but great for general health and well being.


My favorite client story

I have a Masters client (over 55) that could not even squat out of a chair. She now squats over 95lbs with a barbell on her back. She is now addicted to strength training and seeing those numbers go up on the bar. Stories like these is why I love training people.

My favorite exercise

My favorite exercise is the barbell deadlift because it makes you stronger not only physically but mentally as well.

Keep track of all your workouts with pen and paper and use progressive overload. Every pound counts towards your goals.

Moises has empowered me to be the strongest I have been in my entire life. I have been weight lifting for over 10 years and he was able to correct all the details, such as grip, arching of the upper back, head position, bar travel, hip movement, and more. He allows you to rapidly yet safely gain strength and overall fitness through proper technique and support exercises. He is able to easily break down form and mechanics of complex compound lifts in ways lay people can understand. As a multiple sport athlete, he would tailor my sessions to ensure I wasn't over-trained and to prevent injury. On days where I had muscle tweaks, he would help me work around them. I have never recovered quicker from minor injuries until I worked out with Moises. During quarantine, he graciously lent me equipment and we adapted to remote at-home work outs. On the diet front, he was able to provide sound general rules of thumb regarding calories and macros so you could make long-lasting changes yet not be overwhelmed by fads and too much detail. Lastly, Moises is overall just a good person and a great listener for when life gets you down. Our sessions were "iron therapy." I encourage you to try a session with him if you are serious about getting in shape.

Moises is an awesome trainer. I’ve leaned on trainers for over 20 years and done everything from CrossFit, Boxing, HIT, Cycle, and all sorts of Bootcamps. I’ve trained with several other trainers, which were all great, but Moises model was new to me. No crawling around or all that other stuff. Just compound lifts 3-4x per week. I’m 47 years old and the strongest I’ve ever been. People now comment about my muscles. Shoulder, wrist, ankle, knee and NECK pains are all gone. Moe! Raise your prices! ;)

I’ve been going to Moises for over a year now and he really is the best. I had basically no experience doing heavy lifting before I started and now I’m addicted. He’s very knowledgeable about techniques and makes sure to prioritize good form, which is great because obviously you could hurt yourself if you’re not doing it right. He’s also great about not pushing through injury; if I tweak something, he makes sure I’m okay and suggests alternatives to avoid hurting myself more. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants a great workout and wants to build muscle but doesn’t know where to start.

I was completely new to strength training. Moises is never judgmental and will explain things patiently. I went from not knowing how to lift to squatting/ deadlifting above my body weight! He is also good with injuries, so if you have a preexisting condition, he can adjust workouts to accommodate the injury.
