My intention is to serve others through health, movement, and nutrition. I'm passionate about teaching others how to embrace their bodies and exceed their own expectations of what they are capable of doing. I've worked with individuals from ages 8 to 80 and specialize in functional strength training, mobility, balance, and stability training.
Sessions generally consist of a mobility/dynamic stretching-focused warmup followed by a workout programmed to align with an individual's goals.

My favorite client story
A couple of years ago, a client came to me months after being in a coma. She had one of her legs and several of her fingers amputated. She was in a wheelchair at the time and wanted to begin working in the gym but felt emotional because she wasn't sure what that was going to look like for her. Really, she didn't know if it would be possible.
Together, we helped her prove herself wrong. After months of training, she was no longer utilizing a wheelchair. I taught her exercises that she could do with her single leg and, once she got her prosthetic, she was able to perform a wide range of exercises.

I love the Turkish Getup -- there's nothing like a full body exercise that emphasizes shoulder stability and strong core development.

My name is Deb Garcia. I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Fitness Nutrition Specialist, ACE Senior Fitness Specialist, and 200-Hour RYT with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Arizona. In 2020, I founded my business, Embrace Energy. I am passionate about my work and have a tremendous desire to make fitness and nutrition simpler, more accessible, and less intimidating for all who seek my help. Whether an individual is just beginning or experienced with a specific list of goals, I can provide the tools necessary to support his / her / their journey.

My ultimate goal is to teach others how to develop positive relationships with their bodies through healthy (and person-specific) exercise programs and mindfulness-based nutrition education. I believe that we can only be held back from achieving our goals and actualizing our dreams by our own self-perceived limitations. Together, we will challenge any (and all) limiting beliefs about your health and capabilities so that you have the best chance possible of participating fully in your life.
