I began my training career at a large, commercial health club in 2015 and learned so much working with a wide variety of clients. I eventually discovered that I craved a more in-depth approach and relationship with my clients. In 2016, I embarked on a pivotal and unexpected journey, when I found out I was pregnant with my son. I decided I would not just ‘get my body back,’ but would utilize the unique inspiration brought on by motherhood and what I knew was backed by science, to have a great pregnancy and achieve my highest levels of fitness within a year postpartum. I did just that and gained more mental and physical strength than I could’ve imagined. During this process I came to understand how deeply us women hold so many myths as truths when it comes to our bodies – both in general and during pregnancy. But I also found my passion: in helping other women to shed those false ideas about their bodies AND their capabilities. There exists an abundance of misinformation when it comes to fitness. As an NASM certified trainer, as well as someone committed to constant education and staying current on cutting edge scientific research on exercise science, I rely on evidence-based practice. This means a safe experience and goals that are tracked and slayed!
My favorite exercise
Deadlift! You can forever perfect your form and you really can’t find a better full body lift! I also love how powerful it feels to master such a particular and seemingly complicated lift.
