About Richard

For as long as I can remember, I’ve enjoyed fitness in one form of another. But, it was in the military that I found personal success in fitness. While completing Advanced Individual Training (A.I.T.) with the Army I achieved the Army Fitness Medal, my first of many personal accomplishments in health and fitness.  Memories of my own youth Athletics, coupled with my success in the Army, fueled my passion for youth fitness/athletics. In an age where social media and electronics are easily accessible, I take great pride in helping our youth find their passion in health, wellness, and athletics. This facet of the industry has become a life project for me and I developed an entire program dedicated to getting our youth up and moving.  Adding to my athletic reservoir, in the past four years I have trained in boxing, Krav Maga, and Muay Thai. The extreme conditioning of martial arts is one of my fondest practices. I enjoyed learning and understanding how to move your body, why we move our body and when to exert yourself for maximum output - this is essential for both adult and youth Athletic practices.  My personal journey has lead me down several paths and in doing so I have lost 52 pounds. Of that total 52lb loss, I’ve shed 40 pounds in the course of 3 months through a combination of nutrition and training.  This road has also introduced me to individuals seeking to achieve similar goals on a path of health and wellness. As human beings, we love to categorize things. This includes our health, nutrition, and training ideologies. While famous quotes often prompt people to think outside the box, people rarely apply that to their individual health and wellness practices. While some turn “the box” into some negative connotation of constraint. I happen to love boxes; only because I’ve learned that “boxes” only trap those who believe in them. It takes a certain level ingenuity to get yourself out of it.
