About Austin

Hello! My name is Austin Amante and I am a NASM certified personal trainer. I am also a former D1 college baseball player along with a former competitive power lifter. I started personal training shortly after going through a weight loss journey of my own where I lost 100 pounds from January 2021 to November 2021. After that it was clear to me that all I wanted to do in life was take the knowledge of my extensive training history and share it whoever would allow me to. So if you're looking to change your life or just get to the next level, I'm your guy.

My favorite client story

1. Omar (22) was one of my first clients I ever had and he went from 215 to 175 in 6 months which allowed him to get back into his passion of boxing.
2. Peter (74) went from stage 1-2 hypertension to normal to elevated blood pressure ratings after just 3 months of training.
3. Bryce (29) had massive jumps in his main 3 lifts: bench 205 to 250, squat 315 to 405, and deadlift 315 to 425 in just 5 months of training, he is now looking to compete in a power lifting competition later this year.

My favorite exercise

Deadlift all day every day! It has always been and always will be the deadlift. It was my specialty back when I was competing in powerlifting and I still deadlift every week because it is the best and most optimal lift to reach any goals you may have

My training philosophy

No matter how hard I push you, it won't matter if you don't push yourself.

Austin is a great trainer! I have been lifting for about 5 years prior to training with Austin. I thought I knew everything there is to know. Within 15 minutes of meeting Austin, I knew I wanted to train with him. Austin showed me new and better ways of working out to reach the goals I was looking to achieve. He corrected my form to help me feel the movements in different places I have never felt before. My physique has changed so much just from implementing what Austin was able to show me. He also has my bench press at the highest weight I have ever been able to reach at 135lbs due to making some changes to my form. I made that my goal and Austin pushed me to reach it. Not only is Austin extremely knowledgeable about weight lifting and nutrition, he is extremely amazing person to be around! Not only did I have a trainer but also a very good friend! You want Austin as your trainer if you want results!!!

Austin and I worked together and he pushed me in all the right ways. I gained muscle and lost fat by the end of our time together! Great energy and makes workouts fun!

Austin is the first trainer I have had. He is very personable with his approach and will get you back in to the swing of things at the gym and with physical activity in general. He will get your strength and endurance up, keep you motivated and he excels at pushing your limits so that you achieve your goals. Highly recommend to anyone needing a push. My sessions were generally 30 minutes long and usually strength training and I was almost always dead ass tired at the end of each session.

He always made me feel comfortable and was very encouraging. He checked in with me during workouts to make sure I was doing well and pushed me when he knew I could do better. It always felt like he tailored his encouragement for me specifically.

Austin is incredible. I came to him with a couple years of general gym knowledge and decent fundamentals. While that does help it was a far cry of being able to achieve my goals, Austin saw this gap and was able to address it perfectly. He was able to speak plainly and directly without being condescending, clearly valuing my time and my commitment to this process, matching that perfectly. As I began to change the way I trained, following the process he put forth, results were very quick. Austin took those quick results, made sure to explain why and help build my knowledge, and then get back to pushing me further. In about 2 months I went from a 275lbs max squat to 405lbs, now repping my previous max. I had never deadlifted before either, Austin was an excellent teacher for a lift that requires focus and good form, never had any issues on my way from 0lbs to 425lbs in the same 2 months. The list goes on and on, every lift, goal, even things I didn't want to do (fuck box jumps) improved, quickly, immensely and in a fun way. That last part might be the most important, Austin is just a fun guy to work with. He might be pushing you beyond what you thought you could do, but man does he keep the energy chill and fun the entire time. Often we would not only get a great day of lifting in but we found ourselves talking the entire time like we were out at the bar. Austin is a great guy, he changed my life, I have never been more empowered, strong, and healthy both inside the gym and out. There would be 0 other options in my mind if Austin was on the table. He is THE guy to work with.

Austin is a great trainer to work with. He was very skilled in identifying deficiencies and muscular imbalances to help me reach my goals. Very easygoing and great to work with. 10/10 recommend

Austin knows his craft and practices what he preaches, even occasionally doing workouts alongside you for motivation. He keeps things intense enough to stay working, but is still fun and creative with the workouts. I have been lifting and in action sports for 12 years and still learn a ton from him. Whether you are just getting into working out and want a base, or have been lifting your whole life and want to get over a plateau, Austin has the knowledge and tenacity that you want in a good trainer. As a plus, he’s a good honest dude in general.

Austin is extremely knowledgeable about weight lifting and fitness in general. He is very supportive and encouraging. I'm sure he saved me from future injury by correcting my technique and helping me to build good habits. I would definitely recommend Austin to anyone looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly trainer.

My 15 year old son has been training with Austin 2x/week for the last couple of months and is definitely seeing the results! His primary sport is hockey and Austin has been helping him with his sport specific goals and it’s showing on the ice. He’s also learning proper techniques to avoid injury while training which is a great investment!
