During my last competition, coach Cole helped me to get a PR on my bench press. He noticed that my arms were too wide on my attempts and helped me to make in game adjustments to gain more leverage. Thanks to Cole, I set a personal best and a new state record on the bench press that day! I owe a lot to his diligence, observant eye, and patience. I met Cole in college. As far as character goes, he's never been anything but exemplary. When I asked him if he had room to coach me, I brought a challenge for him. He typically coaches powerlifting, bodybuilding, and general weight training. I asked him to step outside his expertise and coach me in strongman while balancing demands of being a firefighter as well as the parent of a toddler. Together we have exceeded my expectations. While I'm not a world class strength athlete, I am continually improving and manage to stand toe-to-toe with competitors who are larger then me. Cole is dedicated to his clients and makes efforts to continue his education to improve the service he provides. That being said, you'll get what you put in. I have no doubt that if I followed his plan to T, I would be farther along. 10/10

You won't find a more down to earth truly honest trainer than this guy. Cole and I have been training together for over 5 years now and I can't say enough about his compassion for his clients and the knowledge he continues to bring to the gym. With 5 years of training, I continue to learn from him as he applies new techniques and suggestions for improved performance on a regular basis. As a 50-year-old hard lifter, I particularly am impressed with Cole and how he addresses injury or pain during our workouts. He consistently provides a new technique, stance, grip, position, or some crazy method that helps tremendously when something isn't working right. Cole is an amazing trainer who listens. He will always work to give you a realistic plan (lifting and nutrition) to meet your goals and he understands how you need to adjust as you get older. This is particularly important for me, since heavy lifting has caused problems for my tendons and joints. He will push you to reach your goals without punishing you, and he is always upbeat and positive. When I decided to train for a bodybuilding competition at age 58, Cole helped with all aspects of the build and the cut and teaching me the poses. Now I am transitioning to maintaining and increasing muscle, and his training is allowing me to achieve my goals. On a more mundane level, he is completely reliable, no last minute cancellations or rescheduling. He will not advise ineffective (but often trendy) exercises, but he is always researching to find new techniques and exercises that are truly effective.

He and I have been working primarily on strength training to prepare for powerlifting meets but has also worked with me to improve overall health, e.g. leaning out and losing fat.
