About Stephan

My main objective is to turn disbelief into confidence. one of  many distinctive qualities of Stephan's methods, is striving to help people develop bodyweight-appropriate strength. Focusing on weaknesses instead of playing into strengths, forces us out of our comfort zone and into growth. I pride myself in the diversity of my clients and their abilities, to change the perspective of one’s own strength. Let’s change the way we think about fitness and strength together!


 


My favorite client story

One of my favorite recent projects was a client who had an injured glut and we rehabbed it to full function and more. “My Journey to Pistol Squat starting with a torn, scarred, and weak right Glute: I was so weak in my injured glute I could not even do an assisted Pistol squat. Coach Stephan helped me break down individual components of the Pistol by working on single leg balance, ankle flexibility, hip flexor, and glute/quad strength. This involved working my way up from ground zero to increase ankle flexibility with duck walks and a variety of yoga squats. We built balance and core strength by doing single leg swings and lungi g exercises and glute and quad strength with variety of body weight squats and hill sprints. We then progressed to assisted pistol squats and to my surprise I was able to do full pistol squats after 2 months of training- a full 4 months ahead of my goal thanks to Coach Stephan’s ability to deconstruct the pistol squat components and address all my deficiencies accordingly.”
