VerifiedAbout John
All training sessions are 60 minutes and will include a combination of cardiovascular dynamic warm up, resistance/strength training, myofascial release and stretching. Our training sessions never get boring! I keep things fun and add new exercises, routines and challenges as you progress and grow. I understand there will be days when training may seem like a chore, but I will be there every step of the way to help keep you motivated and moving forward. During our initial consultation, I will perform a full body assessment in order to learn how your body moves. I do this to determine postural imbalances and uncover body parts that are overactive or underactive. This assessment will also include discussing past injuries, surgeries, chronic pain and other medical conditions or concerns that you may have. Armed with this information, I will design a program specifically for you. I view fitness as a way of life that can reward us with a healthy, supple body that will last a life time. It's my job to help you meet your goals while reducing the risk of injury now and in the future. Everyone has muscular imbalances that can be caused by repeated movements, sustained postures and a predisposition of certain muscle groups to either be weak or tight. My job is to see how your body functions and tailor a program to fit your individual needs. Combining corrective movement, myofascial release and functional training you can reach a level of wellness that surpasses your fitness goals. This innovative type of training leads to building a strong, durable and pain free body for life.
My favorite client story
A client I have been working with for about a year now started 35 lbs. heavier than she is now and had zero confidence in her lifting abilities. She is now deadlifting over 115lbs! She couldn't move the bar at all her first time trying. I love her enthusiasm and how much better she wants to get at deadlifting. She also has taken her fitness to a new level by staying consistent when she is not with me. She follows the program and has made a full transformation in both body and her lifestyle.
My favorite exercise
Hands down my favorite exercise is the deadlift. This exercise is a full body exercise. This can be a modified exercise and anyone can do it as long as it is taught correctly and performed well. Under proper supervision, this is the best overall exercise.
My favorite quote
"Don't practice until you get it right- Practice until you can't get it wrong."
