I got into the fitness industry initially to improve my own fitness knowledge and condition. I have experienced musculoskeletal tissue injuries, flexibility and mobility issues, balance and stability degradation, strength deficiencies, and degenerative lumbar arthritis. I didn't always have the most optimal and smart approach to exercise. I eventually learned that most of my issues were preventable and I am now on a journey to correct what I can and alleviate the rest.
Now, my approach to exercise is based on principles of optimal joint alignment and body movement. A stable body can absorb and produce more force than an unstable one. This leads to less pain, reduced injury risk, increases in muscular strength, and overall improved fitness. Training with me involves gradual progression through a customized training plan designed to address your individual needs and help you reach your goals.
As a retired military veteran, I know the importance of maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle. I value dedication, commitment, a strong work ethic, consistency, preparation, and goal setting. These values are just as important in fitness. My overall fitness philosophy is move consistently and with purpose, eat balanced, supplement as needed, and rest adequately.
My favorite client story
My mother is 67 years old. She has always valued wellness and taking care of herself. Yet, despite her best efforts at living a healthy lifestyle she has struggled with keeping excess weight off. I took her on as a client in June of 2020 to help her improve her general physical conditioning. Her flexibility and mobility improved as well as her strength and balance. One day, she had her hands full carrying laundry in her apartment complex when she slipped and fell on the hard concrete ground right on her posterior. She said that she immediately got up and continued with her chores, and never experienced any pain or injury as a result. She credited that to her improved fitness. At the start of September 2020, she asked me to help her lose 40 pounds. I designed a customized nutrition and strength training program that resulted in her meeting her goal within a healthy timeframe. She continues to train with me and maintain her weight loss.

Walking. It is the most fundamental of human movements and does much to counter the ill effects of a sedentary lifestyle.

I am a 68 year old grandmother and for almost 20 years I have being trying to lose weight with pills and bunch of diet offers and it was very frustrating.
