Hello! I'm a seasoned personal trainer with a background in athletic training and experience coaching high school and collegiate athletes. In 2018 I became certified as a trainer and have become fluent in the language of postural correction, functional training for sustained strength into old age, weight loss, conditioning, and post-rehab treatment with a diverse range of clients. I am a tough-love coach with a very outgoing personality that will hold you accountable with whatever your goals are, and I am happy to explain the methodology behind the workouts I prescribe to my clients. I became a trainer because my first trainer taught me just how varied exercise is, and that there is no "one-size-fits-all" remedy--I strive to show that to all my clientele. I have also worked as a journalist and plan to return to television journalism a few years down the road, but I find that my background in general news reporting has exposed me to many different fields of work, making me conversational in just about any topic (and making my sessions a bit more fun). My sessions all depend on the specific goals of the client.

My first ever client as a professional, who came in with goals of rehabbing her ankle, losing weight and maintaining overall health, completed her first check in after a month and a half of training with me, and dropped her body fat % by 5% and can now easily perform one legged balance exercises on her once-injured ankle. She is now training with me for the 2019 New York marathon!

My training philosophy
Between client and trainer, we must each hold each other accountable, be honest and up-front, willing to listen and understand, and realistic about our goals. That way we can create a healthy, productive training relationship and have fun during our sessions and enjoy the process!

I have worked as a trainer for over a year now, and the rewarding feeling I get when someone simply tells me they're "feeling better" than they did just a few weeks or days ago pushes me to keep going.

Fran is a terrific trainer who takes the time to make sure you're doing things correctly. He has a good sense on what you can handle and adjusts accordingly to make sure you get optimal results. I'd definitely recommend him.
I hate working out! But Fran makes it’s fun and the time goes by so quickly. I had been working out for months and saw no results but I began to see results after working with Fran. He is extremely knowledgeable and had me trying exercises I had never saw before but they worked!
Fran is the best! He takes a lot of care with each of his clients and is extremely knowledgeable. He tailors every workout perfectly to your specific needs and really knows how to push you. I have definitely seen a transformation in not only my strength and stamina but my form as well!

There is so much to say about Fran. He is such a knowledgeable and experienced trainer. Not only does he help you meet your goals but breaks it down step-by-step en route to them.
