About Dan
I am on a mission to educate people on how to take control of their health, empowering them to know how to take care of their bodies and minds forever.
I have been working with students for the last 7+ years. I started in big box gyms and then moved to smaller boutique gyms, before ultimately making the decision to move to freelance and establish a new methodology.
I realized that what was lacking from trainers in most gyms was a true step-by-step systematic approach to help their students reach their goals. If we observe another discipline like in martial arts, you must master a series of belts before your body is ready to effectively take on the black belt test. And yet, in my experience in big-box gyms, many trainers have their clients jump right into programs that have them performing movements like bench presses or pullups before laying the foundations needed to safely and efficiently perform these moves, often resulting in injury or inevitable plateauing.
And so I became a certified instructor of The Sanctuary Method - holistic approach to achieving your optimal fitness and health that combines elements of gymnastics, calisthenics, yoga, performance psychology, meditation, nutrition, and more. Let me change your life as I've done for dozens of others!

I’ve been working with Dan as my fitness coach for the better part of 4 years and I have never met anyone who knows more about fitness, mobility, and over-all well-being. No matter how my goals have changed throughout this time (whether I wanted to gain size or otherwise change my aesthetic), Dan has evolved my programming while clearly breaking down for me the reasoning behind the tweaks we were making to my program. Not only is he clear in his instruction, but he has kept me highly motivated with his positive attitude toward my pursuit of my strength, mobility, and aesthetic goals.
I love that Dan approaches fitness from a mindset of longevity. He’s helping me condition my body and mind to move for years to come. There’s a version of Dan’s training for any age and any body. And he will always challenge your limiting beliefs of what a body is capable of. I LOVE the way I feel after a workout with Dan. I’m stronger, leaner, AND more flexible than ever (and I grew up as a dancer!) It was a revelation that working out could be highly effective without making you feel beat up post-sweat. A workout is something to look forward to and something your body should thank you for. Punitive bootcamps, while fun for a blitz once in a while, were not a sustainable plan for me. Dan helps me build plans for my sometimes erratic work schedule. Several of the skills we work on together can be practiced while traveling or at home, so I don’t lose momentum between sessions. His instruction is clear, thoughtful, and motivating. It’s training for life.

Dan is a delight. His extensive knowledge of fitness and nutrition, combined with his respect for his craft and clients make him uniquely joyful and motivating. He is able to listen to what you need and instantly develop a personalized plan. He makes the daunting easy by not only telling you what to do but why those specific changes will help you reach your goal. It’s a holistic approach that is refreshingly personal. It’s wonderful! As a trainer he was able to listen to my goals and develop a plan that worked for my hectic, inconsistent work schedule. Because he is so well read he can adapt on a dime and adjust with you. His forward momentum and happiness are infectious and you can trust that his sessions will be carefully planned, that he has mapped out exactly how you can reach your goals. Dan will see where you are with love and help you get to where you want to be.
