About Randall

A former high school teacher turned trainer. It's a different "classroom" with the same premise: I get to help people better their lives. The gym always felt like my playground, and I envied trainers who got to be there all day. So I became one.

I like to begin with stability and endurance work for most clients to provide a foundation before kicking it into high gear workouts.  Once you have a solid understanding of how the basic movements work, I can begin to really push for high level workouts that are safe and effective.  I can create entire workouts with just one tool or I can bring my sled and we can shove some weight around outdoors.  I like to challenge clients and have a little fun.  I don't bark orders, and I like to participate to both model and correct form.  Don't be surprised when we are doing push ups and high fiving in between.

In my sessions, you can expect tons of support, guidance and encouragement on your path to a better you. Whatever your goal, I'm here to help. Weight loss is often the primary focus, and I can definitely support with this.  Additionally, I am passionate about strength training, obstacle course races (8 Spartan races so far), partner/group sessions and making fitness fun. Whether you want to build muscle, squeeze back into those old jeans, or do your first pull up, I'm here for you.

My favorite client story

A young man who had recently lost weight and started hitting the gym came to me. He had never done a pull-up. I gave him some advice and technique for how to acquire the strength he needed a couple of months ago. He just did five pull-ups last week.
