My background is in Martial Arts (over 30 years) and playing Division 1 College Football (University of Virginia). I also teach self-defense classes for the City of West Hollywood. Some clients prefer strength training/toning and sculpting/weight loss programs, some prefer self-defense, and some like a hybrid. I'm happy to help all of my clients reach their goals.

Todd is an incredible instructor who's able to teach all skill levels. I had never even contemplated learning Martial Arts, but he made it seem easy and fun. I participated in a few pro-bono classes Todd taught for the West Hollywood Community Center and was amazed at how he was able to teach self-defense to people of all ages and body types. Afterwards I signed up to train with Todd individually and very quickly felt that I had mastered the basics of Tae Kwon Do -- with incredible physical improvement and mental health benefits. However, Martial Arts isn't my true passion, and I was further impressed to discover Todd is an amazingly skilled personal trainer, who helped me come up with the perfect exercise plan, which he is constantly improving upon as I train with him on a weekly basis.
Being a person who has previous injuries, I was somewhat hesitant about learning self-defense, however my concerns were quickly put to rest once I started working with Todd. He's extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. I learned a lot while still working within my limits--I cannot recommend him highly enough.
I was lucky to take one of Todd's martial arts classes, not only was it informative & empowering it was also fun! Todd's professionalism and attention to personal issues & goals make the workouts feel productive and effective - like the ultimate goal is totally attainable - the pool workouts are incredible... Best thing is he comes to you! Fitness at it's best - hands down!
I heard about a free self-defense seminar through a friend and decided to give it a shot. Not only was it informative and empowering, but it was so much fun! Todd is an excellent and knowledgeable instructor, and while there were about 15 or so other people in the class that day, he took the time to answer questions and made sure each person transitioned comfortably through each move. I would highly recommend Hollywood Martial Arts and Fitness to people of all ages and athletic levels!
