I have been a group fitness and personal trainer for over 5 years in Massachusetts and New York. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, I moved to NYC to pursue a career in fitness. Since living in New York, I work for a small boutique boot camp studio where i lead group classes and also teach indoor cycling at Flywheel Sports. Besides group fitness I also personally train clients. I have experience working with clients of all ages from 18-75. Typical sessions are one hour long and consist of cardio and strength training fit to each specific clients goals and needs. My main goal as a trainer is to help my clients improve their lives through physical fitness and feel better both physically and mentally!
My favorite client story
One of my past clients had PCOS. Through training she was able to get off of all of her medications, manage her symptoms and fit into her dream shorts! Her transformation was about much more than fitting into a pair of shorts though-she was able to improve her quality of life.
My favorite exercise
Anything that challenges someone!
My favorite quote
"It's not yours unless you fight for it"
My training philosophy
Form first. I never want to push clients to do something that is unsafe or something that they will compromise form in. I always want to make sure all clients have mastered the basics before advancing on and adding weight or resistance. That being said, my goal is to push my clients harder than they would if they were alone or even in a large group setting. We work to get stronger and better always.
