I also practiced martial arts, including taekwondo, kickboxing, and Muay Thai, in my early 20s.</p><br><p style="box-sizing: border-box; border: 0px; font-size: 18px; font-style: inherit; margin: 0px 0px 0.5em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">I struggled with social anxiety, body dysmorphia and depression in my early and mid 20s that caused me to have a yo-yo effect on my health, especially my weight. I challenged myself to overcome these barriers without medicine and i know from day one i would love to help others do the same! <p>My personal training career began at Blink Fitness where I started out as a front desk associate in 2016 struggling to meet my own fitness goals. Being in that environment is what motivated me to pursue my dream of becoming a <br />personal trainer. Growing up I had always been active playing basketball, leading workouts with friends etc; prior to <br />Blink I had lost my edge and gained a significant amount of weight. I graduated Focus Personal Training Institute in <br />December of 2016 and became a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports medicine in March of <br />2017. Since then I have been helping clients reach their goals- Weight Loss, Muscle Gain, Strength Development being the main concerns of my clients.<br />Session Breakdown:<br />1st Session-This session is more of an assessment where we discuss your goals and create a plan to achieve those goals. For the last 10 years, I worked with great success as a coach in Istanbul, before settling in NY in 2021.<br>My specialty is corrective exercises to rid people of pain, brought on by muscular imbalances. I've improved myself in this scope in the course of my recovery due to my past injury. I had a bad accident when I was 14 years old and had to get my lateral meniscus removed which caused me further problems later in my life. 15 years later I had to have another 2 operations to replace the meniscus that I lost with a synthetic meniscus. Ever since I am getting progress every day. This injury led me to acquire a huge knowledge about rehab after surgery, corrective exercises, and improving postural imbalances. <br>Everybody is different and has different needs when it comes to training. It is crucial to pursue a workout plan based on your posture, age, background in fitness, physical condition, etc. If there are muscle imbalances that cause postural distortion (most of the time there are) your plan should include some corrective exercises to fix it in order to workout more efficiently and pain-free. I’ve had clients from all walks of life and different professions from the age of 16 to the age of 80. While everybody has specifications to their fitness goal the end goal is always the same in that it is to be a healthier more optimal and functional version of ourselves. I’m an amateur mma fighter have been fighting for 6 years now so staying in shape is a by product of constantly training to improve in combat. Before fighting I was a trainer first but before being a trainer I’ve been training myself since I was 14. With the help of mentors, research and applying I’ve been in outstanding shape since I was an adolescent. I also did the 2013 NPC men’s physique competition in NYC and placed 10 out of 28 in my category. The competition was tough I was 20 years old then. I’ve been training and eating well for the last decade and a half so I encourage and teach my clients to do the same as nutrition is as important as training. These are the pillars to wellness.
