Hey yogi! I'm Claire, an an NYC-based 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) specializing in Vinyasa, Hatha, and Yin styles. I believe that yoga is for everyone, but that doesn't mean it's the SAME for everyone! Our bodies are all unique, and yoga should be inclusive and accessible for all. That's why my teaching/training style is very individualized - I work with your body exactly as it is, and empower you to build your yoga practice around your body's needs, not the other way around. I believe in Health at Every Size (and Yoga at Every Size!!), Body Acceptance, and Body Positivity. I come from a disordered eating background, so I have experience with it firsthand and I am anti-diet and trauma-informed. I also have my LMSW (Master's Degree in Social Work) from New York University, so in my practice and teaching, I'm mindful of the intersection between mental health and yoga/movement. Our relationship will be a partnership: you are your own best teacher! I'm just here to guide you in the way that is the safest and most nurturing to your body and mind.
