Jenny campbell, founded of Urban Om NYC, was introduced to yoga through her background in modern dance. She holds two 200 hour yoga teaching certifications, the first from It’s Yoga in Columbus, Ohio and the most recent from The Shala in NYC. Jenny is Mat Pilates certified through Kinected Pilates in New York City. She is also certified in Restorative yoga through Yoga Works. She loves practicing and teaching restorative yoga, having seen the benefits of deep rest, something much needed in busy NYC. Jenny has 14 years of teaching experience and specializes in one on one and small group classes, creating a practice that meets each individual client's needs. Whether you are in need of a sweaty, challenging vinyasa practice, a restful restorative session or a combination of the two, Jenny will meet you where you are to create the perfect yoga session for you.


My training philosophy

I meet you where you are each day. The benefits of working one-on-one is that we can be flexible and adjust to your needs each day. Feeling exhausted? We can take it easy with gentle stretching, meditation, restorative yoga, and perhaps some visualization (great for athletes, by the way!) Feeling energized and training for something? We will do a sweaty vinyasa class and perhaps throw in some strengthening Pilates work. Every client is unique and so each session will be as unique as the student. It is my philosophy to meet you where you are and offer the best class for you each session.

My training experience

I have been teaching for 14 years. From the very beginning I taught one-on-one and group classes. I have worked with a lot of different bodies, ranging in ability and experience. I hold over 500 hours of yoga training and am a certified Mat Pilates teacher. I love working with students and guiding them towards their goals.
