Howdy I'm Coach Kene, nice to meet you!
Growing up, I was the tall, skinny, awkward kid that always got picked on in school and hated what he saw in the mirror. It was impossible to have confidence, and something in me burned with an unfulfilled desire to be strong, respectable, and a fighter. I started going to the gym at age 12, and took Karate classes for the first time around that time, and fell in love with both! I loved showing up especially on sparring days and met some of my favorite people by taking hard punches in the face from them! Nowdays, I like to teach all my clients the skills needed to maintain a body that is both healthy, coordinated, and formidable, because life doesn't always go easy on you!

Bulgarian Split Squat jumps. Everybody hates them!
My favorite quote
"The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war." I remember seeing this quote on the wall of my dojo back when I was a kid.
My training philosophy
Work harder, not longer! Everyone has things they have to get to, people to care for, and lives to live. The gym should enhance our lives, not become them!
My training experience
Currently employed at 24 Hour Fitness, I've slowly found my niche as a bootcamp/boxing trainer. You can still see me there 5 days a week, when I'm not taking on clients from FYT!
