My favorite client story

One of my favorite client stories is when a long time dedicated client was able to perform simple daily tasks and chores with their kids without feeling winded or out of shape because of the work we had done together. Sometimes its just about being able to feel better & be a little stronger than you were 6 months ago. Those are my favorite transformations!

My favorite exercise

My favorite exercise is the burpee because its a full body exercise that compounds all the muscles in the body for a full complete workout!

My training philosophy

Literally, “JUST MOVE!” And move often. The all or nothing mindset approach will sabotage goals. Do something everyday, whether you go for a hike, take a yoga class or do a 10 min home workout ,just make exercise a part of your lifestyle!

My training experience

I have over 17 years experience in the fitness industry and over 10,000 hours of coaching people ranging in age from 14-80. I trained clients for almost 8 years at a high end commercial health club in San Francisco, CA where I gained the majority of my skills, knowledge and expertise working with athletes, older adult population, successful business owners, and women looking to enhance their sport, lose weight, or gain strength. I have acquired over 11 certifications in personal training, yoga, bodywork therapies and nutrition to offer a multitude of health and wellness options for my clients. In my earlier years as a trainer, I was featured in Tennis Life Magazine as a Yoga Model, interviewed on CBS Health Watch, and type-casted as a yoga teacher in a short film.

was not searching for a weight loss program or a spiritual path. I am an avid runner (daily) and workout with weights three times a week. On top of those activities I stand on my feet all day at work. Times this by a few years and my body began to break down on me. My run times became slower and slower and the muscles in my legs and feet tightened and constantly caused me pain. My neck back and shoulders were also continually cramped and sore and my range of motion was far less than it used to be. I love to work out and I also love my job. I didn’t want to have to give up either of those things in my life but I also didn’t know how I could continue to do them with the pain I was in. I began a search as to what could help me achieve a balance between running, lifting, and doing my work. My search ended with an answer I didn’t expect, yoga. Needless to say I love Deanna. As a chef on my feet for over 30yrs, I have only now starting to run marathons for the past two years. My trainer told me I should take up yoga, it would help with the running.
