About Melanie

I've been a fitness professional for 30+ years, and love helping my clients discover a healthier lifestyle and the best version of themselves. While living in Napa Valley, I owned a boutique fitness studio specializing in unique fitness formats and a customized approach to small group classes, and personal training. I believe in continually expanding my own fitness education which allows me to create customized programs that clients love, while also driving results. I train in-person in Southern California, or virtually online. I've trained a wide variety of clients from celebrities and famed winemakers, to moms and retirees. I love working with all kinds of clients, but I specialize in creating dynamic programming for individuals 40 years and older. My certifications and specialties include: ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Precision Nutrition L1 Coach, Barre Above Instructor, TRX, Water in Motion Certified, Tabata Bootcamp Certified, Schwinn Indoor Cycling Certified, Mat Pilates, weight loss, nutrition coaching, strength training, and more. I'm currently working on my Balanced Body Mat and Reformer Pilates Certification. 

My favorite client story

I have many client success stories. Two that stand out are a new mom that had just had her third child and wanted to shape up. I took initial assessments to where her fitness level was at, and we progressed over several months to her running her first marathon! Another favorite story is a 75-year old client who had worked with trainers before, but wasn't doing much at the time. She wanted to get stronger, improve balance and lose a little weight. We've now worked together for a little more than a year. She is stronger and has better balance than many of my clients half her age. I can give her some of my more advanced challenges and she handles them like a pro. And the weight loss happened too!
