About Domingo

If you care about proper training and mechanics, then I'm the trainer for you. A keen eye on performance enables a trainer to make proper pro/regressions. I take pride in implementing all my certification into your customized program. There is no AVERAGE session, the array of workouts done in one session are enough to leave the perfect amount of soreness. While enhancing your core strength I also look to assist with posture reinforcement. We will keep track of your progress on a shared file and be sure to hit your fitness wants and needs. 


To date my most impressive client is 78 years young Dr. Len Rubin who gives me 12 pull ups in one set, bench presses 185lbs, deadlifts 205lbs and give me 20 spush ups! We've been training for four years and it has been a blast to readdress his balance issues and keep him active. His program is saturated with work outs to improve his balance, proprioceptors (spacial awareness)  and core strength. 


Training locations vary upon clients request. I currently rent space in the west village and columbus circle but open to any other locations in our schedule allows it. 


My favorite client story

Dr. Leonard Rubin is 78 years young and is my most energetic client. Before our assessment Len wanted to increase the size of his shoulders, arms and calves. I noticed his balance was a bit off upon a balance drill beause he was unable to stand on one foot for a split second. Come to find out Len never told me he has an inoperable big toe on his right foot. While not leaving his fitness wants out of the picture we tackled his balance from the ground up. Trained ankle and hip mobility, strengthened his core and enhanced his proprioceptors. Not only can Len go fifteen pull us in one set he can reverse lunge while being elevated. His entire fitness program consist of workouts he could never do prior to training with me.

My favorite exercise

Experience has taught me that nothing beats a strong foundation. So squats/deadlifts/lunges are my favorite exercises.

My training philosophy

“From The Ground Up”
As we age balance and proprioception are two skills we lose track of. Falling while young is a quick fix in many occasions, this is not the case for the aging population. It’s imperative to train functional movements in order to enhance life activity and longevity.

My training experience

Currently contracted by the NYS Dept. of Mental Health to provide exercise classes to individuals in transitional housing in impoverished neighborhoods of NYC. These individuals suffer from AIDS/HIV, depression, chemical dependency and domestic violence. Prior to that I was training at Equinox in the West Village.
