I am the former owner of IFoundFitness in Deep River, CT and the very popular weight loss challenge, The River Valley Slimdown. I also managed two exclusive waterfront fitness establishments: the Forbes rated “Saybrook Point Inn and Fitness on the Water” in , CT. I have worked with a wide range of clients ranging from teenage girls through senior citizens. My specialization has fallen into the area of working with post-menopausal women and active adults. Two of my longest standing clients include is a 95 year-old gentleman on the senior tennis circuit, and a 68 year woman and breast cancer survivor, that I coached throughout her draining chemo treatments, surgery and recovery. As a result of the pandemic, I started a totally virtual training business, “CyberFitclub”, and conduct personal training and small group training sessions as well as group exercise classes on the Zoom platform. In addition to private and small group training, I have always run motivating group exercise classes in the area of group strength, Pilates, HITT, Stretch and Balance and Chair Yoga. Fitness has always been a passion of mine and I have had some of my own struggles with weight, particularly after the birth of my children so I know first-hand about the frustrations many overweight people have. I like to motivate and inspire the clients I train, by trying to get them to think about exercise just like a daily habit such as brushing your teeth. By adding exercise and eating healthy, clients will enhance the quality of their lives, feel better and live longer. As your coach, I will push you but listen to you as everyone has good days and bad. I worked with a new Dad who wanted to lose weight. He was never into exercising but started to incorporate exercise into his daily life and ended up losing 40 pounds. He did this by eating sensibly and adding exercise to his daily routine by doing indoor cycling classes or walking over 10,000 steps a day.
