About George

Hi! I'm here to help you reach your health and fitness goals amidst all the craziness of life in LA. I spend a lot of hours in an office, so I know the struggles that poses to a healthy lifestyle, and I can help you around them.

I'm a trainer because I've known too many people who want to become more healthy and fit but don't know how to overcome roadblocks: gyms are intimidating, lack of motivation, not enough knowledge of diet and exercise, working out sucks. There's nothing more satisfying to me than giving someone the tools to overcome these things and seeing how happy it can make them. I promise I can help you find ways to work out that you'll have more fun with than you ever thought you could.

If you've got a busy schedule and are trying to figure out how to incorporate fitness and healthier nutrition into your lifestyle, believe me: I understand, it's totally possible, and I will help you figure it out. As a previous powerlifting competitor, martial artist, and overall athletic enthusiast, I'll create personalized plans for you to achieve all your fitness goals, whether you're in it for intense athletic training or, shedding some weight, or recovering from a serious injury!

My favorite exercise

As an ex-competitive powerlifter, the deadlift is a favorite. If practiced right, it can give a serious boost to your health and fitness, whatever your goals are. It kicks your whole body into gear and promotes all kinds of growth. Plus, once you get the hang of it, deadlifts feel f***ing amazing!

My training philosophy

I grew up a science heavy kid. I was fascinated with biology, human anatomy and physiology especially. Through study and real life experiences I've learned one key principle: A body needs serious stimulus to make physiological change.

That means that whether you want to lose weight, get stronger, just be overall healthier, you need to give your body and mind a damn good reason to. Shortcuts won't give you lasting results; real progress and change in your fitness and health will be a struggle. It will be hard, and you only get out as much hard ass work as you put in. But that doesn't mean it all has to be a painful experience.

If you hate working out, I promise it's because you haven't found the right kind of exercise for you yet. Everyone is different, and I know through experience that everyone can achieve great health through an active lifestyle. It just has to be the right active lifestyle for you, and I'm here to help you find it.

My training experience

I played sports throughout childhood. My first serious training experience came from MMA in high school. I jumped between various martial arts schools until I progressed to weight lifting. While I focused on powerlifting for a while, I constantly had urges to experiment with all kinds of fitness - calisthenics, plyometrics, yoga, various sports. Today I still dabble where I can, and focus on weight lifting, martial arts, and yoga.
