I started my training career in 1999 in a small studio in Santa Monica, CA. I left another industry to become a trainer after I went on a hike at a ski resort in the summer - Snowbird, just above Salt Lake City in Utah. It was a tough 3200 foot vertical climb. I saw all the people go up in the tram and was wishing I was on that tram. THEN, when I got to the top and looked at the land below, I said, "I want to help people not take the tram up". That was the beginning of many years of a career and personal journey.
Serving clients through cardio coaching and corrective exercise was the detail oriented path that interested me. From there, I began to work with the elderly, weight loss clients and orthopedic clients. After several years, I wanted to take a more academic approach. I went back to school and earned my Masters degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Texas. I have published strength training and connective tissue research and am on the faculty of a national personal training certification company as their anatomy and fascia (specialized connective tissue) education director. I am a part of the international fascia research team that works to bring best practices to the exercise field.
When my clients train with me, it's all about them and where they are at both physically and mentally. I design workouts based on how someones body can move, taking into consideration any limitations and goals. I am a client's partner in fitness in wellness and have experience speaking with other team members, such as the clients doctor or physical therapist, to exchange ideas and make sure exercise programming is safe and effective. I am a continuing student in the areas of functional anatomy, gait (walking analysis), and the fascial network of body. I look forward to working with you soon!

I feel safe working out with Michele. I’ve never injured myself or felt fear because she’s ever present when working me out. She watches my form and makes sure every body part from the top of my head to my toes is engaged & secure. When I started with Michele , I had a sway back with hyperextended legs & arms, which Michele pointed out could cause major problems. Michele was able to teach my body to have better posture, strength and endurance. Because Michele is intuitive to what movement I need, she designs a workout plan for every session. I like the way she evaluates my body movement, any weaknesses, imbalances, and executes a corrective solution. She creatively integrates various types of exercises with movement and breathing and doesn’t just do standard weight training that most trainers I worked out with in the past always did. You can’t fake sweat and I always receive a whole body workout feeling invigorated, joyous and ready to take on the world.
Michele has helped me in so many ways. With her encouragement, there are no hurdles, just options. I feel so lucky to have her in my life to help me recover from surgery and then to stay fit and healthy. Thank you, Michele.
Back in the snow once again! I gained strength, coordination, and balance again after a few physical setbacks. It is so great to be back in action! Thank you, Michele!
