However, what makes me better qualified than most is that I have invested time on my education through college and obtaining a NASM personal training certification. If you're reading this, you're in the stage health methodologies call active contemplation. Allow me to take you through the preparation stage and lead you to action. Assessments and workouts are personalized according to your fitness level and goals. I promise to help you reach your goals from an educated perspective, teaching while training so you may learn to practice a healthy lifestyle without me. There are people who like to lift and see personal training as a chance to get paid to do so. However, I see personal training as a chance to promote healthier lifestyle alternatives by sharing my expertise through an educated perspective.

My favorite client story

My favorite client story is one with a female in her 60's. She came to me from a previous trainer that soured their relationship with poor rapport. This client had recently lost her husband and was in the post-rehabilitative phase of a knee surgery. Her balance was struggling, she had poor mobility in her surgery leg due to impairments in the surrounding knee musculature, which was leading to compensation throughout the rest of the kinetic chain. One of her primary goals was to be able to successfully go up and down her basement living area stairs. After a few months of consistent and persistent work with stability and stretching techniques she progressed to going up and down her stairs without holding onto rails. She went from holding a single leg balance for a couple of seconds at a time to holding each side for a minute. A year and a half later she was jogging outside! With the personalized routine provided we corrected any impairments and exceeded the potential for her goal.

My favorite exercise

Any stabilization exercise especially ones combined with different exercise modalities further enhancing a proprioceptively enriched environment. I like this section of exercise because it is pertinent to building neuromuscular efficiency/foundation and is commonly overlooked on many fitness levels.
