About Gerard

Gerard Welch is a personal trainer who specializes in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). For five years, he has worked with clients at all fitness levels and ages ranging from 16 to 86. Clients who have worked with Gerard appreciate that he is patient, flexible, and motivating.


When not instructing others, Gerard stays polished with skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, capoeira, rock climbing, boxing, Brazillian Jui Jitsu, and MMA. This diverse scope of physical activities informs Gerard’s training style to accommodate the client’s aptitude and individual goals.


An athlete can work with Gerard to upgrade their endurance, agility and quickness. Someone with limited upper body strength and flexibility can learn from Gerard how to overcome these obstacles by developing their core and stability. Gerard can teach how to boost confidence and means to self-defend. Through improving mobility and coordination, Gerard can guide someone to rebuild motor skills weakened by the aging process.


He is always happy to explore new ways to customize approaches to suit his client, or to simply support accountability and provide a good work out.
