About Irene

I am the founder and lead coach at Bay Wellness Coaching in Newark, California. I love helping clients feel better about themselves physically and mentally. I'm passionate about working with people no matter where they're starting at; most of my clients are women but I've worked with people across the gender spectrum to help them with their life and health goals. As a personal trainer, I incorporate aspects of weight loss and weight management beyond the training session, e.g., sleep, nutrition, mindfulness, behavior change, etc.

I do kickboxing private sessions (remotely) with Irene twice a week, and also receive nutrition advice from her. My goal is to get leaner (by working out and eating right). In kickboxing sessions, not only Irene does a very outstanding job correcting my forms, she is also able to identify which part of my muscles need more strength. We sometimes combine strength training into the class to get the most out of it. I believe Irene really knows what she's doing. If you're looking for a personalized training to meet your fitness goal, Irene is who you should be talking to. :)

I've done Irene's kickboxing group classes and have done a few HIIT and Stretch/Recover sessions with her. Whether it's a group setting or a 1:1, Irene is great at communicating and guiding through each movement and position. She focuses a lot on form and breathing and articulates each instruction to suit my fitness level. She's a great instructor and I like her programs a lot!

I'm a regular at Irene's cardio kickboxing class and really enjoy the class. Irene makes beginners feel welcome but also has higher intensity options for each move. She brings her enthusiasm and energy to every class. Great camera and audio during the remote classes too; I haven't had any issues.
