I will incorporate free weights, functional training, core conditioning, body weight training, props, circuit training, Pilates and don't forget the cardio! Sticking to an exercise program can be a "chore. " I develop exercise programs that keep the workouts fresh, innovative and fun. I coach, motivate and educate and you experience gains in strength, stamina, endurance, flexibility and balance. I engage in continuous research and implement best practices to customize client workouts. I love training all fitness levels, the general health seeker and connect well with the older adult population.
My favorite client story
Lately, I have been incorporating more pushups (or modified pushups), into my training sessions. Then one day my 59 year old client tells me, "You don't remember this, but when I first started training with you, I told you I would not do pushups." I said, "You gotta be kidding me, you do pushups all the time." And she said, "I know. When we started training, I couldn't finish one pushup. And now, I'm so strong, I don't mind doing pushups anymore, because I can do pushups!" Bring it on!!
My favorite exercise
As a Certified Mat Pilates Instructor, I love strengthening the core of the body - or the trunk of the body. Well, it's more like I love seeing the results of a strong core. Core work is a series of exercises and can get boring, so I mix it up to keep it fresh. A strong core is a critical component to any exercise program. Benefits of a strong core: Efficiency and ease of movement; improved body control, stability, balance; increased power output; improved athletic performance; and reduced risk of injury.
My favorite quote
So many favorite quotes. Here's one: "Your belief determines your action and your action determines your results". ". -Mark Victor Hansen.
