My passion for sports and helping otherwise is what led me to personal training. I was a 2 sport college athlete, walking on to both the football and track team at Oklahoma State University. Balancing school, sports, sleep and a social life taught me the value of discipline, consistency, and most of all hard work.
I figured a great way to continue doing something I love while still helping others would be becoming a certified personal trainer. SQUATS! This is one exercise that should be a part of virtually everyone's routine, as it's relatively simple to perform, requires no equipment, and can be done just about anywhere!

My training philosophy
Each client is given a complimentary assessment to gage their fitness level and also an opportunity to talk about goals, fears, limitations or any expectations you may have. I believe with the right information the proper plan can be devised for each specific individual which will , in turn, maximize results! Once the proper plan is in place, the program will promote muscle growth, weight loss, as well as substantial increases in strength and conditioning!
My training experience
I’ve been a personal trainer for 2 years working at a variety of places including Equinox, House of Fitness and Gold’ s Gym. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients including beginners, seniors, and top college/pro athletes! Expect to be challenged at your own pace no matter what level you are!

Ryan has been training me for a little over 3 weeks now and I already look and feel so much better! He listens to you and what you want to do. But at the same time he pushes you to your limit to maximize your results! Overall such a nice guy and great trainer! He is always on time and has good follow through.
Ryan is an amazing personal trainer. I started training with Ryan several months ago and I’ve already had noticeable changes. Ryan is knowledgeable and has shown me a variety of exercises to meet my goals. He has been really good at motivating me to push myself to the max which translates when I’m working out alone also. I’m a busy professional and he has worked around my schedule. I couldn’t imagine a better trainer and would recommend him without reservation.
What an inspiration Ryan Gatewood has been to me. I am a 57 year old woman with rheumatoid arthritis which has limited my ability to be physically active. Ryan has given me the help and motivation I needed to gradually begin to increase mobility and work toward achieving a level of fitness that I did not deem possible. He understands my special needs and has been able to devise a fitness plan that I can actually do without putting excessive strain on my weakened joints. I feel very lucky to have found him.

Ryan is hands down the best trainer in the Los Angeles area!! He is incredibly knowledgeable about nutrition and fitness and truly cares about his clients.
