Hayden Mitchell
About Hayden
Come as you are! Regardless of who you are, what you do, and the goals you have, I will help you find your way through holistic health and fitness. I have 20 years of experience teaching, coaching, and training students, athletes, and general population from 4-92 years old. I have worked extensively with sports teams, amateur and professional athletes, weekend warriors, geriatric populations, people with Parkinson's and MS, and all points between.
It's all in the journey for me. I love all methods of movement and strength, having studied and taught a variety of kinesiological sub-disciplines at The University of Alabama while pursuing my PhD in Human Performance.
Movement is the foundation for life. Humans are designed to play with curiosity and exploration. It is an innate, primal instinct to move, compete (with others or self), and push our bodies to lean into some level of discomfort.
It is my aim to restore your playful spirit, expand your current skill set, and empower you to pursue any adventure in life. I do not believe in quick fixes or a one-size-fits-all approach. I do, however, work to bring out your inner athlete regardless of where you start with movements designed to improve mobility, strength, power, and many more athletic qualities. Training with me may look like crawling, lifting, running, sprinting, jumping, bounding, hanging or just trying something you never thought you could do.
So whether you are an elite athlete pushing for that extra edge or a 72 year-old with the goal of playing more with your grandkids, I hope you (and maybe some friends) will join me and the Wayfinder Performance team on your movement journey.
Cheers!
