About Charlie

As a Health Coach and Fitness Trainer I help my clients focus on weight management, food cravings, sleep, energy, stress management, digestion issues and pain. My mission is to help people become aware that what they are eating directly affects their health. Through education we all the ability to achieve vitality, longevity and overall wellness. I also address the emotional and phychological aspects of our relationship with food. Another component of longevity is functional movement. By learning how to move properly you can prevent serious injury and debilitation. I serve my clients by filing the gap between Healthcare Professionals and preventative health care. Bodyrite Wellness takes a whole body approach to your overall wellness.

Through personal training, my goal is to teach clients functional movement, which is teaching people how to move correctly for everyday activities. Any bodyweight exercise. When done correctly they are some of the most effective exercises. Most importantly you don't need any equipment or a gym membership.

My training experience

My first experience with nutrition began when I was thirteen years old. I became fascinated with lifting weights and learning about how the body works. My love for training and nutrition grew, and I began working as a personal trainer to further my knowledge of nutrition and exercise. Thirteen years ago, when I became a firefighter, I began to see people with many illnesses and injuries that could have been prevented. I realized that many people lacked the knowledge that it takes to be their best self; I wanted to make it my goal to educate those people. My desire to teach people about nutrition and train them properly lead me to go back and get my education. I currently hold two different certifications for personal training. I am one of two firefighters in my department who is specialized in training firefighters, and I am also certified as a holistic health coach. I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized "roadmap to health" that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals. Most importantly, I practice what I preach. A few years back, I struggled with weight and high blood pressure. My doctor wanted to put me on medications, but I knew I had the power to change things. Since then, using the knowledge I have gained over the years, I have dropped 40 pounds and lowered my blood pressure through proper diet and exercise. My methods are based off of research; research that has been proven effective. I can change your health habits, motivate you, and most importantly, help you to feel your best self.
