About Kyle

I grew up playing team sports and the most notable would be ice hockey. My overall athleticism was the strongest aspect that I brought to my team during my time as an athlete. For years I have used fitness as a tool to make myself more efficient on the ice. Nowadays I try and exercise to increase my functionality and overall well being. Being involved in fitness for many years has induced my fitness passion and knowledge. As a result I realized the power that I have to motivate and show others the potential that exercise has on health and longevity.

My favorite client story

One of my favorite aspects of training is when a client can inspire me as much or more than I can do for them. I am currently training a client who plays golf, volleyball, and pickle ball five days a week. She is currently practicing an ayurvedic diet and is in very good mental and physical health, all at the age of 76. Her energy is contagious and I dare say I am actually jealous of her overall physical condition. I have been blessed to help her make strength gains through a lot of resistance training and will continue to do my best for her as she does in every one of our sessions.

My favorite exercise

Functional training is my favorite type of training right now. This can include bending and lifting (deadlifts), Rotating (various core movements) and squatting. I also am taking part in an ongoing yoga practice and I really enjoy the mental and physical benefits.

My training philosophy

Proximal stability promotes distal mobility. Fitness starts from core functionality outwards and I always make sure my clients have the strength in stability so that functionality is never a problem and we can make necessary steps towards individual goals with ease. Whether you are trying to lose weight, gain weight, or if you are simply into fitness for the overall physical and mental health benefits , fitness starts from core functionality outwards.

My training experience

I have been involved in fitness ever since I was in grade school. I have been working in a gym for close to 3 years and have been helping people reach their goals for over a year. I love the energy and intensity of large group settings and I truly enjoy building relationships and aiding my clients accomplish lofty goals in a 1-on-1 setting.
