About Steven

Hi! I am your in home personal trainer. The biggest reason that most people give for not exercising has to do with available time. I eliminate that problem saving you atleast 10-15 hours per month and get you to your goals simultaneously.  Now I am opening up virtual training due to COVID-19. I would love to be your trainer.

I know that most people don't exercise because they think it will take up too much of their time, not because they don't want to exercise. My typical client will usually feel that they have "let themselves go" or that that they are "too far gone" to get into better shape. But the truth is, nobody is too far gone to get fit.

I have made it my priority to show the mom who is trying to get rid of her baby weight from 15 years ago that she can get an effective workout routine going. For the gentleman that lost the last of his muscle tone after a surgery 8 years ago, I show him where to begin to get his definition back.

When I'm not doing fitness training -- Most days, you will find me enjoying the Clermont community with my wife and kids. We enjoy first Fridays downtown, and we visit the Farmers Market every Sunday morning. Lastly, I love drinking craft beers, so if you have any in mind please let me know.

My favorite client story

I did personal training with a client in her home. She had a very active dog. Sometimes the dog would try to lift the weights. Other times he would just try to sniff the weights. He did it so often that we thought he wanted to put on some serious muscle.

My favorite exercise

Burpees - Incline Biceps Curls - Deadlifts - I can't just name one. By the way, I hate lunges.

My favorite quote

I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.

My training philosophy

I got in the fitness business because I had met many people who told me that they did not know where to start, and they did not have the time to exercise. Once I learned about these reasons, I created some simple exercises that could be done in the home, and became an in-home personal trainer to save my clients time. Now with current technology, I can save them even more time with exercises that can be done anywhere.

My training experience

I have been training for nearly 10 years. I have ran an entire physical activity department for the previous 5 years. I love physical activity. Now that I am finishing up my certified nutrition coach training, I will be able to offer my clients the best nutrition strategies to loose weight.

Steven is a terrific trainer. He encourages you, believes in you and is there to listen to your special concerns as he works it in your training session. I would recommend him because he is a caring person and will help you reach your optimal health.?

I had the pleasure of working with Steve in 2010. At the time, I weighed 286 lbs and endured several of the health issues that are associated with such a high weight (I am 4'9"). Steve employed a "Healthy Eating First" approach and introduced me to sustainable food goals that were strictly rooted in maintenance; NO FAD DIETING! Combined with a workout regimen (eventually progressing to two workouts a day!), I was able to reach a goal weight of 165 lbs. Ten years have passed and I've maintained the same dietary habits and workout regimen, allowing it to fluctuate with my life changes. It goes without saying, I highly recommend his services!

Dumb bells, weight bars and kettle bells...if anyone would have said i would be using these and and doing weight training i would said you are crazy. But thanks to the wonderful training and patience of Steven i am doing just that and kind of like it. Steve mixes up the program so it is not boring and rotates between core, arms, legs and back and you can see yourself increasingly get stronger. I highly recommend you try it.
